Mm, me like. I think my favorite thing about the composition is their facial expressions, SmellerBee's is so sad and LongShot's is so stern, it's a nice contrast and they work well together.

Their clothing doesn't seem exactly right, but I do know how difficult it is to be correct, especially since the limited look we get at their clothing and most of it's in the dark. Anyway, I remember more browns--but perhaps you chose to give them more color so they wouldn't blend into one another (though it kind of makes them look like water and fire nation...)

This picture makes me NOT want to pair them. Because it seems more of a big brother, little sister relationship--*sigh* which is a possibility. Anyways, I have a story that could go along with this picture, because all the talk about it kind of inspired me...

The clothing was my best guess from the screencaps on firebender.com. Longshot does really wear dark blue and red, though his had is supposed to be more brown. Smellerbee is definitely too red here, thanks to me fiddling with the saturation on my computer, but I suspect I'll play with that a bit more.

I can see where you're coming from with the brother/sister feel, but the scene I was picturing when I drew it was a tad different . I saw it as a touching/comforting moment that someone walked in on. Thus longshot becomes protective because 1, he's used to hostile situations and a sudden visitor isn't usually good and 2, smellerbee seems the type to not relax easily and retreat a bit when relaxation is interrupted.

Your description of Longshot matches him to a T-pretty much the same vibe I got. Cute pic, I love their expressions.

I think you have the colors right, in essence, but I think they are too bright and clean. I think they all need to be darker, or have a bit more brown in them, just to tone them down. LongShot would stick out like a sore thumb in the woods.

Thanks! I was originally flirting with the idea of having longshot reaching for an arrow with his right hand, but I figured the expression was enough to make the point (plus it would be kinda silly since he isn't holding his bow).
